Wardell is also a regular volunteer for the Guardian Ad Litem program, providing legal representation to volunteers representing the interest of abused or neglected children. He coaches many sports including basketball, football, baseball, and soccer. Wardell was also the manager of the 2010-2011 Bayshore Little League Allstar team which were the District 6 and Section 7 Champions and went on to the State Tournament.
