Yesterday, my client, Ed Schrank passed away.
We all lost an incredible warrior, a combat Veteran, a patriot, but most importantly a very loving husband, father and friend.
Ed was one of the upmost inspiring hero’s I’ve ever met- despite all the odds against him, he never complained, he always tried and never gave up.
Ed reached out to me in March 2022, and informed me that he’s been fighting the DOD for over 10 years to get the benefits that he & his family was rightfully entitled to, but he kept getting denied. The DOD denied his benefits for over 10 years! This is the same system that Ed served and lost his life to. I was so impressed with his persistence and determination to right their wrong. And of course, I was honored that he asked me to represent him. I agreed to represent him pro bono, and contacted my colleague & friend Joe Wade (another Georgetown Law grad) and together we worked swiftly and got Ed’s benefits approved!!!
I believe God puts good people together to help one another. As I write this post with tears in my eyes, I think about all the pain and surgeries that Ed had to endure from his toxic exposure, and the unnecessary years of trouble and stress that he had to undergo to get the benefits he was entitled to. Ed was the most positive and inspiring men that I ever met, and I thank God that I was called to help him and his family.
May God rest Ed’s beautiful soul in peace, and may God Bless America. https://www.edwardschrank.com/home
