The impact may look minor from outside the vehicle. Inside the cabin, the motion is different. The seat pushes the torso forward first, the head lags behind, and the neck takes that force in a fraction of a second. Many clients tell me the same thing after these crashes. They felt a jolt, went home, and only later developed neck stiffness, headaches, shoulder pain, or trouble turning their head.
