⚖️ JUST FILED: Premises Liability Lawsuit in Tallahassee, Florida

Black Rock Trial Lawyers represents Sylvester Canty Jr. in a premises-liability action arising from a serious fall at the Acasa Ocala apartment complex in Tallahassee.

According to the complaint, Mr. Canty was walking through a common area when a loose dog allegedly pursued him. While attempting to move away, he encountered wet, sloped ground and an exposed opening associated with a utility or water-meter box. He allegedly fell, suffering a broken left hip that required emergency surgery and hospitalization.

The lawsuit alleges that the defendants failed to adequately maintain the property, address recurring water leakage, secure or cover the exposed opening, provide appropriate warnings, and address the alleged roaming dog.

Mr. Canty is seeking compensation for medical expenses, physical pain, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, and other economic and non-economic damages.
