Dear Mr. Reder:

I am sending you this response on behalf of Chief Judge Ron Ficarrotta and Administrative Judge Frances Perrone.

Based on the current Florida Bar investigation regarding your conduct, it would not be appropriate for either judges to interject themselves into the Bar investigatory process. The Florida Code of Judicial Conduct and the many judicial ethics advisory opinions prohibit judges from lending the prestige of their judicial office to advance the interest of others. Therefore, please be advised that neither the chief judge nor the administrative judge of the County Civil Division are able to contact The Florida Bar grievance committee on your behalf.

Based on the stated activities and goals of ACE Charitable Legal Services, Inc. – including investigating judicial conduct which is the sole constitutional mission of the Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission – Chief Judge Ficarrotta must cancel his honorary membership in your organization.

Thanks for your understanding,

Your Honors, as you both know I have spent a lot of time promoting and
working on ACE Charitable Legal Services, Inc. practically ten hours a
day seven days a week. It has been a tumultuous past six months.
The convention I was promoting scheduled for May 22 fell through, but
I have a good 6 hr CLE scheduled with an initial power-point
presentation Judge McEwen sent me to present on her behalf, a panel
discussion by ACE-JEDI members Lynn Drysdale, Richard Peck, and
Jacqulyn Mack-Majika on Florida and Federal unfair debt collection
practices acts, a two-hour presentation on attorney's fees by James
Hauser, a one hour presentation by Jodi Thompson (a former head
prosecutor for the local 13th Circuit Florida Bar Grievance Committee)
on ethics, and a one- hour presentation by myself on Appellate issues
and update.
Although I had to cancel the convention, the mere promotion of
it has generated enough inquiries and cases that I now am desperately
needing additional non-attorney volunteers, paralegals, law students,
and volunteer attorneys to handle the case load.
ACE Charitable has serviced hundreds of clients, mostly free
consultations, sending out demand letters (with a high percentage of
success), and now has approximately 20-30 cases at the trial level
and two on appeal. This past week it has surpassed my initial goal of
having over 1,000 members from around the world.
My efforts are focused on rescheduling the Convention at the
end of this year or next year. I have obtained free marketing,
consulting, and technical advice from experts throughout the nation,
the most significant of whom is Tom McCoy. He is a former Federal
SEC commissioner who is handling the application for one of my clients
to the FTC for purchasing a local radio station. (For your personal
interest I am attaching his two page mission statement he sent to my
client. When I asked my client Mason Ramsey to summarize the mission
statement in one sentence, he replied "Pay It Forward." That is
exactly, what I have been verbalizing for ACE Charitable Legal
Services for several months now and am planning on amending the
Articles of Incorporation to reflect this.
Now the tumultuous part. I have received an attached Florida Bar
Complaint of a grievance reported by an unnamed source with no
documentation. I hired Ms, Thompson who was able to determine that it
was delivered by an unnamed judge and that pursuant to a new rule
3-7.18 they were not required to give her or me a copy or even a
summary of the grievance filed against me and several other attorneys
throughout the state. As summed up in the draft of our letter which
is due Monday
"The Bar’s complaint appears to allege that it is improper for a
junior lienholder to foreclose their lien, due to the effect it may
have on senior lienholder’s interest. However, in Goetz v. AGB
Tampa, LLC, 2D21-1516 (Fla. App. 2022), the court held that a first
mortgagee has no right to the surplus funds resulting from the
foreclosure of a junior lien holder. In light of Goetz, Mr. Reder did
nothing wrong. As a result, we ask the grievance committee to find no
probable cause that Mr. Reder violated the Rules Regulating The
Florida Bar."

I would believe the committee would be really interested in your
response and request that you give them one. The Florida Bar
requests that any communication to them should include the Florida
Bar's style of the case and file number, which is: The Florida Bar v.
Randall Odo Reder, Florida Bar File no. 2022-10,538(6D).

Chief Judge Ficarrotta, as you are an Honorary Member of the ACE-JEDI,
I am ethically bound to disclose all of this controversy so that you
can inform me if you have any objection to the organization's
activities and goals (which includes investigating improper judicial
behavior, which I strongly believe is occurring here) and would like
to cancel your membership.
