Capturing Life’s Moments

I started Hess Digital Memories as a way to capture life’s moments. My daughters were born with liver issues and my husband and I did not know how long they would be with us. I wanted to capture every moment possible. I wanted to capture not just the portraits and poses, but the moments in life. Those unscripted moments that are full of emotion and vulnerability. I threw myself into my objective and attended classes about photography, lighting, editing, art, and cameras. I wanted to know everything I could about the industry. As people started seeing the photos of my girls they immediately asked me to capture moments in their lives. I have had the pleasure of capturing a father embracing his daughter on her wedding day, the innocence of newborns entering the world, and the joy and nervousness of pregnant mothers. I have captured high school seniors living life, while also fearing the uncertainty of their next phase. Of course, I had to capture families enjoying the time they have together. Soon my business was born, and I was blessed to be able to capture so many moments for so many people over the years. To this day, I still get to capture the moments in both my daughter’s lives.
