Shawuki was born in Brooklyn, New York to parents of Haitian descent. He attended and graduated from SUNY Binghamton with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Leadership & Consulting. After a brief academic hiatus, he went on to obtain his Juris Doctorate from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. During his time at Cooley, Shawuki held a myriad of leadership positions such as Justice o

f Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International, Vice President of Entertainment of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, as well as an Associate Editor of the Western Michigan Cooley Journal of Practical and Clinical Law. Attention All Business Owners (MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT):

The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) has recently extended the deadline for when reporting companies are to submit their Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reports. Essentially, starting January 1st, 2024, reporting companies formed in 2024 will be required to file a BOI report up to ninety (90) days after receiving notice of their creation or registration with the state of filing being effective. For reporting companies created or registered before January 1st, 2024, the BOI submission deadline will be January 1st, 2025.

Stay tuned for more posts on FinCEN's BOI reports and details on which business types are classified as reporting entities and those that will be exempt from reporting.
