We often take simple things for granted, like access to shoes and clothes, but those basic items often mean the world to a foster kid. We provided David with new shoes, and his Guardian Ad Litem Advocate sent us this message. "I brought him new shoes from your Necessities Closet, and he freaked out!"

Year around, we provide free to foster kids new clothes and pajamas, shoes and socks, warm jackets, activewear, and personal hygiene items in our Saunders Necessities Closet. So honored to have been admitted to The Supreme Court of the United States .us this past Wednesday with 8 other members of The American Association of Nurse Attorneys (TAANA) . This has been a personal goal of mine and it was such an amazing experience to have been admitted before the nine Justices and to hear oral argument in person with my friends and colleagues of such an amazing organization (TAANA). .us

I can’t believe that it is already October 31st! October is “Breast Cancer Awareness Month”. At least 1 in 8 women will develop this awful disease (and, unfortunately, this statistic may be rising). Unfortunately, this year, I became part of this statistic. More to come about my story.
