🌧️ A little storm update from SHS!

With the approaching storm, all Student Housing Solutions offices will be closing today, Friday, October 9, at 3 PM to keep our residents and staff safe! 💚

A few friendly reminders before the weather rolls in:

🏡 Outdoor Items: Please bring in or secure any patio furniture, decorations, or other items that could blow around in the wind!

🛠️ Emergency Maintenance: Our maintenance team will be keeping an eye on weather conditions! To keep our staff safe, emergency maintenance services may be temporarily paused if conditions make it unsafe to respond. We appreciate your patience!

⚡ Power Outages: If your power goes out, please report it directly to City of Tallahassee Utilities! Their outage map is the best place to check for restoration updates, as our office does not receive estimated restoration times

💚 We hope everyone stays safe and dry! Thank you for your understanding, and we can’t wait to see you back in the office soon!

🚿 Maintenance Tip Monday: Keep your drains happy!

A few easy habits can help prevent clogs and keep your drains flowing:

🧼 Use a drain catcher to keep hair and debris out
🍽️ Keep food scraps, grease, and oil out of sink drains
🚿 Remove visible hair from shower and tub drains regularly
💧 Pay attention to drains that are starting to empty slower than usual

If your drain is clogged, backing up, or just not draining like it should, submit a maintenance request through your resident portal and let our team take a look! 🛠️
