The ELS board would like to welcome its newest member, Jacob Schenk - 1L representative!

Here’s what he had to say about joining ELS!

I am interested in environmental law because at its heart is a convergence of some of the most interesting developments in modern law, politics, and global affairs. The environmental lawyer engages with sophisticated legislation and regulation from all levels of government. And as awareness of a climate crisis has grown, so has the demand for lawmakers to act. Public interest groups, capital ventures, and established market players all have a need to understand and navigate the developing landscape of environmental law. As someone mindful of societal shift, concerned with the fate of our planet, and looking for compelling work to do post-bar, seizing the chance to engage with FSU Law’s distinguished environmental program is a no-brainer. I look forward to beginning that journey by getting involved with the Environmental Law Society!
