The storyline behind this post would eat up all 2,200 characters, so Iāll skip around a little & hit the high points! š
If something is MEANT TO BE, it WILL BE ā if youāre patient & donāt try to force it.
After several days & LOTS of hours walking the property, talking with contractors & family members, my buyers were MINUTES away from going under contract on a one-of-a-kind Tallahassee estate.
It was owned by two extremely respected professionals in our community who had passed away & left this wonderful property to their children.
We were moments away from having all the signatures we needed whenāout of nowhereāanother offer came in, significantly higher than what my buyers could do.
My buyers handled the news with grace. They understood the sellers had to do what was best for the estate & genuinely hoped the new offer worked out. But my buyer was heartbroken.
Fast forward about a weekā¦
š My phone rings.
It was the listing agent.
& yesāyou read that right. She CALLED me. She didnāt text. She didnāt email & wait. She immediately went back to WORK by re-engaging.
She was calling to let me know that, just as she had promised, we would be the first call if the other buyers terminated for any reason.
& nowā¦
WE ARE UNDER CONTRACT. š
On the Tallahassee āunicornā property my buyer never thought sheād get another chance at.
This is why I believe that sometimes, what is meant for you simply cannot be forced. Be patient, stay engaged, keep communicating & trust the process & let me say one more thingā¦
If you donāt think it matters who your listing agent or buyerās agent is because you think āweāre all the same,ā Iām here to tell youāyou are SO wrong.
Had the listing agent & I not stayed engaged, communicated by phone, negotiated & kept each other informed, this opportunity may have never been revived this quickly.
Real estate is about relationships, communication, persistence & WORKING for your clients.
This one wasnāt over when we lost it.
We stayed ready.
& when the opportunity came back around, we were ready to move.
Sometimes the best deals are the ones you almost lost. ā¤ļøš”
If itās meant to be, it WILL be.
