The world is crazy and chaotic right now. I’ve got some ideas for how to make yourself feel better. Today I’m specifically talking about how Powers of Attorney could be useful in calming some uncertainty.

Over the past (many) months, we’ve been so busy helping clients that I’ve gotten away from sharing here. Lately, as I’ve talked with families about all kinds of big life stuff — new babies, retirement, aging parents, messy dynamics, fresh starts, and hard losses — one thing keeps coming up: people want clear, calm information, but they’re not sure where to begin.

And honestly? The legal world does feel intimidating. It can sound like a foreign language, so people put off things they know they need to do.

I’d love to start bringing more practical information back here again. There are questions and conversations I have every single day, and it’s made me realize how helpful it might be to share them more widely. My goal is to make this feel clear, understandable, and a lot less stressful.

If there’s anything you’ve been wondering about, let me know. Truly — no question is too strange. If you’re thinking it, someone else probably is too.

I’m looking forward to connecting more, sharing helpful insights, and hopefully taking a little bit of worry off your plate so you can focus on the parts of life that matter most.

I had a great time speaking to about 100 clients of FLS Accounting, Kampbell Financial (just so happens to be my husband, ) and last night all about estate planning. We covered the basics, talked about stuff it’s easy to avoid, some crazy stories, and answered questions.

I am a whole-hearted believer and happy participant in education for the general population-it’s a passion and I’m always happy to talk about it.

Gorgeous flowers from a kind client, who said,

“Your firm has done so many things to make this process easy for me to deal with.”

The flowers are brightening up the office this week and the words feel good because our goal is to make everything we can easy for our clients. Happy clients are our ultimate measure of success here.

News worth celebrating (and breaking my 11 month streak of not posting ;)). Today the world, the Washington State Bar Association, KLP & our community gained a great new lawyer! Will passed the bar!!! Best day ever!

You may have seen Will at KLP over the past 3ish years as he interned with us. Now we can finally introduce him as “Will Ingle, Associate Attorney”!

Huge congrats to Heather (his wife) as well!!!

We’re so proud.

The sunny September vibe camouflages how much work is happening inside that brick building. September is the “back at it” month and it’s no exception in the estate planning realm. I’ve been seeing and talking to lots of you, whether it be to tackle a first time plan and get that to do off your list or answer questions and make updates to an existing plan that’s gone a little stale.

If you’ve got this on your mind, too, give us a call to get on the calendar…the last three months of the year fill up fast and if this is a goal for you before the end of 2023…it’s time to book it.
