Every March brings longer days, more warmth, and the reminder of when NxNW began. This March marks the seventh year since the founding of our firm, and we're going to be doing a series of posts over the coming weeks to share a little bit about our firm.

To kick it off, we'll be sharing seven interesting things about NxNW Law Group.

1. Planning the formation of the firm happened over late nights at Devil's Reef. Why a tiki bar? Other than the fact that they serve delicious food and drinks, there are very few places open late during the week that aren't bars.

2. The Tacoma-themed art in our conference room are all original Amy Lewis watercolors. Most people don't believe they are watercolor paintings.

3. Many of our clients have been working with our founding attorney, Brooke Johnson, since she started her career.

4. Each of the seven "feathers" in our logo has a corresponding NxNW value. (We'll be sharing those over the coming weeks.)

5. The "feathers" in our logo are a visual representation of the letters NNW.

6. The 1959 Alfred Hitchcock film North by Northwest was an inspiration for our name (along with the SXSW music festival).

7. Our firm enjoys watching reality TV and QVC during fun breaks at the office.

Merry Christmas from NxNW! We hope you have a wonderful Christmas and don't run into any IP issues like Old Saint Nick here.

It's always fun to kick around ideas for a Christmas card with the NxNW team. Andrew Blanchard-Reed does a fantastic job of taking our ideas and sketches and turning them into a story.

We'll see what kind of legal help Santa needs next year.
