ANNOUNCEMENT #1: The Law Office of Nathan Earwood is pleased to announce the newest addition to our legal team. Kimberly Harris brings years of trial experience to WNC. She will be available to represent individuals charged with any type of criminal offense beginning immediately.
Which brings us to ANNOUNCEMENT #2 : To better serve our clients in Cherokee County, The Law Office of Nathan Earwood has officially opened our sixth location at 75 Tennessee St, Suite A in Murphy NC (inside the McNabb Properties) building. Kimberly Harris is a native of Cherokee County, North Carolina. She served in the United States Army before attending Wake Forest University School of Law. During law school, Kimberly worked as a Teaching Assistant in Criminal Procedure, served as an Executive Member of the Pro Bono Project, and interned in both the High Point, NC District Attorney’s Office and the Cherokee County District Attorney’s office. During law school Kimberly also participated in Trial Bar competition and received the Jurisprudence Achievement award in the Innocence and Justice Clinic.
As a former prosecutor, Kimberly has tried cases in all seven western North Carolina counties. She has years of experience prosecuting in both the District Court and Superior Court levels to both judge and jury handling cases of impaired driving, misdemeanor, and felony cases. Kimberly’s experience in the District Attorney’s office includes handling a wide variety of cases including serious, violent felonies and homicide cases.
In addition to her legal career, Kimberly is dedicated to her church and to her community. She was recently elected as councilwoman for the Town of Murphy. She lives in Murphy with her husband Jacob Harris and their son.
