Is divorce always going to have a negative impact on the people involved?

Kym and I hope everyone is well and safe. We've received a number of questions from our clients about the impact of COVID-19 on child custody orders. At this point, the stay at home orders issued by Governor Wolf and the governors of surrounding states permit travel as required by court order. This includes travel to make custody transfers. Our advice, at this point, is to continue with your regular custody schedule.

Of course, circumstances, such as a diagnosed case in one household, may provide practical reasons for changing the schedule. At this point in time, it is more important than ever to maintain positive communication with the other parent for the benefit of the children. Parents are free to vary from almost all custody orders if they agree.

While we cannot, due to Governor Wolf's order, meet with clients in the office, we can arrange a virtual consultation to meet your needs.
