The Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office will be running No Refusal Operations during the opening of the Fort Bend County Fair & Carnival.

👉 My advice?
Have fun, drink responsibly, and always plan a safe ride home. 🚕🍺✨

But… if your plan somehow disappears faster than a turkey leg at the fair and you find yourself pulled over:
• Be polite to the officer 👍
• REFUSE all field sobriety tests 🙅‍♂️

Case dismissed! 🚨 My client was staring down a DWI with a .17 BAC—but the traffic stop was bad so it couldn’t hold up in court. Let me give credit where it’s due: this young prosecutor showed real integrity by pulling the plug and dismissing the charge. Much respect.

Big shout-out to my co-counsel Selina Alaniz for jumping in with the immigration wisdom my client desperately needed. Talent wins games but teamwork and intelligence win championships. 🙌

If you find yourself a little too sideways with the law in Fort Bend County, I’m the dude to straighten it out. ⚖️😉

Edit: Guess it’s official—my advertisements are now under stricter review than most traffic stops. 📸😅

Today I had the privilege of taking a young man to lunch who just graduated from the 1st Court Juvenile Program here in Fort Bend County. We connected when I found out he lives in the same neighborhood where I did in the ’70s — Ridgemont.

Ridgemont is a tough, gritty, blue-collar neighborhood in southwest Houston. Life there wasn’t always easy, but it shaped me in ways I’m grateful for. To this day, I still keep in touch with friends that I made while attending Ridgemont Elementary School. Even swung by the old house. And thanks to Mama Torres I didn’t have to repeat the 2nd grade. 🥶

When I met this young man, I saw a lot of untapped ability but needing help channeling his restless spirit. And scrappy. Just like me.

Let me close with this: Our youth need to know that people believe in them — sometimes all it takes is someone investing their time, listening, and encouraging them to dream bigger than their circumstances.

Let’s keep showing up for the next generation so they can see the greatness already inside them.
