This past weekend, our attorney, Olivia A. Kurajian, attended the Great Lakes Legal Conference (GLLC 2026), hosted by the State Bar of Michigan at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.

Olivia was honored to receive a State Bar of Michigan scholarship to attend. Her application focused on her work in a legal desert, which is an area with too few attorneys to meet the legal needs of the community. Both Branch County and St. Joseph County are considered legal deserts.

The conference provided valuable opportunities to learn from attorneys and judges from across Michigan and bring that knowledge back to the communities we serve.

It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon at the Cultural Jubilee in Downtown Coldwater! The community came together to celebrate the many cultural identities and traditions that make Branch County such a vibrant place to live! ☀️

We’re excited to congratulate Zach on becoming a Branch County Circuit Court Judge!

Zach was part of the HaasCaywood team beginning in 2017, serving as the first attorney in our Coldwater office. In 2019, he stepped into public service as Chief Assistant Prosecutor for Branch County, where he continued to make a strong impact in the community.

From the beginning, we knew Zach was destined to do great things. His integrity, work ethic, and legal insight make him an outstanding choice for the bench.

Branch County is in very good hands. Congratulations, Zach! 👏

Mia has been awarded not one, but TWO scholarships from the Sturgis Area Community Foundation — the Robert & Barbara Hackman Memorial Scholarship and the Jane & Wesley Hubbard Scholarship. What an incredible achievement and a testament to her hard work and dedication!

We are so proud to have Mia as part of our team and can’t wait to see all she accomplishes next as she continues her journey in Digital Communications and Multimedia Journalism at USF St. Petersburg.
