HISTORY
Emigrating from Sweden, Sven Anderson settled in Stratford to open a blacksmith shop on Longbrook Avenue. Today, five generations later, Sven's descendants are still serving Stratford just around the corner from the old blacksmith shop. Manton Ahlberg, a Navy veteran of World War II, established his law practice in Stratford. Manton's practice and the town grew together. He prided himself
on bringing people to Stratford and developing long term relationships with his clients. His son Kurt Ahlberg joined the practice in 1979 and has been providing legal counsel to the community ever since. As a life-long Stratford resident Attorney Ahlberg was honored to be elected the Judge of Probate for Stratford. Prior to the election, his nephew, Manton's grandson, Carl Glad joined the practice to continue the family tradition of service to the community.
