Real estate can be tough on family life. One thing I've observed over the years firsthand and around me is if your spouse isn't on board, your chances of success in real estate drop significantly.

It's a unique business where the traditional 9-to-5 grind doesn't apply. You're working odd hours, fielding calls at all times of day, and you might not see a paycheck for weeks—or even months.

The unpredictability isn't just hard on the agent; it's hard on the family.

A supportive spouse trusts you through the random hours, fluctuating schedules, and constant expectations to respond quickly.

If you're in the middle of a family dinner and a deal is on the line, you have to make a choice. And if your partner isn't okay with that, it can make an already uphill battle feel insurmountable.

I'm so fortunate. My wife has been my rock since day one. She's never questioned the late nights or the weekends I spent working.
