SOOOO… APPARENTLY Y’ALL WANT ME TO COOK. WELL LISTEN UP SHENANDOAH!
I haven’t posted much on Whiskey Moon BBQ lately, but apparently that hasn’t stopped y’all from asking:
“When are you cooking again?”
“Can I order a brisket?”
“Will you BBQ for my party?”
“Can I just pay you to make the meat?”
Well… HELL. Why not?
Truth is, I absolutely LOVE making BBQ. Feeding people has always been one of my favorite things to do, so I’m going to start opening up Whiskey Moon BBQ for weekend orders when my schedule allows. Weekdays aren’t completely off the table either… just depends on what you need and whether I can make it happen.
SO WHAT ARE WE COOKIN’?
CHICKEN... Chicken thighs
Leg quarters
Wings
Get ’em dry rubbed, je**ed, traditional BBQ, or hit with Alabama white sauce.
BEEF Brisket .. and if we’re doing brisket, I’d much rather cook the WHOLE DAMN COW PILLOW!
Roast beef
Chopped beef
Pastrami
Corned beef
THE PIG DEPARTMENT Pulled pork / pork butt
Ribs
Pork belly
TURKEY Smoked turkey breast Cajun or Texas style
SIDES Mac & cheese
Baked beans
Coleslaw
Green beans
Baked pineapple
Other sides may be available depending on ingredients, time, and exactly how much Miranda Moon loves me that particular day.
BBQ BAKED POTATOES Because sometimes a potato looks at you and says, “I need meat, cheese and poor decisions piled on top of me.”
And here’s something else I want to offer…
BBQ BY THE POUND
Don’t need a whole meal? No problem.
I can package BBQ in 1 lb portions, including frozen portions, so you can stock the freezer and pull it out for:
-Football games
-Weekend cookouts
-Parties
-Family dinners
Or Tuesday night when you decide you deserve smoked meat. This needs to be known ahead of time so I can prepare.
And one last thing that’s important to me…
I love cooking. I love feeding people. And I believe food is one of the easiest ways we can take care of each other.
So if you are struggling and could use some food, reach out to me. If I’ve got the ability to help, I got you. No big announcement. No spotlight. Just neighbors helping neighbors.
This isn’t some giant catering operation.
It’s just a dude who loves smoke, fire, meat, whiskey, and seeing people happy when they take that first bite.
