Learning, Connecting, and Growing as Leaders!

GAAR President-Elect, Jill Argenbright, and Association Executive, Jessica Hensley traveled to Chicago for the National Association of REALTORS® Leadership Summit and L.E.A.D. course.

They’re excited to bring what they’ve learned back to Greater Augusta and put those ideas into action as they continue working to strengthen the Association and better support its members.

A lot of valuable information shared with GAAR on Tuesday!

A big thank you to Ryan Leonard with Virginia Realtors for joining us to present 2026 New Laws & Social Media Advertising. Ryan provided our members with important information about changes affecting REALTORS® and their businesses, along with guidance on navigating social media advertising.

Thank you to all of our GAAR members who attended and took the time to stay informed. Continuing education and staying current on changes within our industry are important parts of serving our clients and communities well.

Last week, our Association Executive, Jessica Hensley, attended the Virginia Realtors® Association Executive Peer-to-Peer Meeting hosted by Williamsburg Realtors®. The conference brought together Association Executives from across the Commonwealth to share ideas, discuss best practices, and strengthen leadership skills that support local associations and their members.

📊 Virginia's housing market continues to show steady activity.

According to the latest Virginia Realtors® June 2026 Housing Market Report, home sales increased 7.6% compared to June 2025, while the median sales price reached $460,000, up 3.1% year over year. Inventory also continues to grow, providing buyers with more choices across many markets.
