Denise was a sister and mother to us all for the last 25 years at Menicucci • Villa • Panzella • Calcagno, Pllc and welcomed all that came into her life and our halls with love, care and affection. She was the first voice that greeted us each day and was the first face welcoming friends, family, clients, and visitors at 2040 Victory Blvd, always leaving a lasting impression on all who shared moments with her.

She was the heart and soul of this office and we mourn the irreparable hole in hearts. There are no words to quantify the loss we are feeling and she will be forever missed.

Born in Queens in 1957, Julie is a first-generation American and the daughter of two Holocaust survivors. Her childhood was different from that of most of her friends, having been raised with a strong work ethic instilled in her by her parents who arrived in the country with nothing. She grew up and lived on Long Island until the age of 23 when she married her husband, Steve in 1981 and moved to Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

Having earned an AAS degree in 1977 from The Fashion Institute of Technology, Julie spent 12 successful years in the fashion industry in various positions, with her last role being in sales just before giving birth to her first daughter, Jennifer in 1987. At the urging of her husband, she obtained her real estate license and became an agent with Century 21. Despite having no prior knowledge of real estate, she started building her business from scratch.

Julie has been in the real estate industry for 35 years and has only been with four different offices during that time, including two with Century 21, a small independent company, and the last 23 years with RE/MAX. Her main focus is providing the best possible service to her clients and customers, which she achieves through honesty, integrity, and a sense of humor. As a REALTOR and holder of a broker's license, she has earned six national professional designations, several awards, and is an active member of the local community of Bay Ridge.
