"How do I receive payment after my case is finished?"
Here's an answer from our very own Andy:
In a personal injury case, funds are typically received via a check from the defendant's insurance company, which is then deposited into your lawyer's escrow account; before you receive the money, your attorney will deduct any legal fees, medical liens, and other costs associated with the case, then distribute the remaining amount to you.
