I spent Thursday and Friday of this week honing my CPS knowledge at the 5th Annual Advanced Child Protection Law Course offered by the State Bar of Texas. I sat front and center to make sure I didn’t miss any new information.

Today after 6 years, my client got her children back. I met her in 2017, but she didn’t hire me. We crossed paths again in 2019 when she hired a firm that I was working for, but I left within days of her hiring the firm. About a month ago she contacted my office because she was still fighting to get her children. My heart went out to her because 6 years is a long time to be fighting!

To see her today, eyes bloodshot from tears of joy, reminded me that these are the times that makes it all worth it!
