The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is proposing realignment of Route 63
from south of Rte. 50 to County Road 611 south of Westphalia and bridge improvements over the Maries River.

The project will require the acquisition of right of way and easements over the properties it will impact. As a state agency, MoDOT has the authority to use eminent domain to acquire the needed property and easements. More information on the eminent domain process and determining "fair market value" is found in the blog post below.
