While numerous healthcare fraud cases exist, the report's focus on two distinct EMS cases is particularly noteworthy. One case led to an EMT being sentenced to multiple years in federal prison for submitting false ambulance claims. Another case resulted in an ambulance company facing significant fines and penalties for submitting false claims. It is essential for EMS stakeholders to closely examine these releases, as they provide valuable insights for strategic planning and risk assessment.
