Before you book that flight, bus, or road trip, know what's changed. ICE now gets your passenger data straight from TSA, and agents are stationed at airports to make arrests based on it. If you hold a green card, carry your green card (Form I-551) everywhere, it's required by law. On a visa, your I-94 date matters more than your visa stamp, and it can expire without you realizing, so check it at i94.cbp.dhs.gov before you make plans. If you're undocumented, buses and trains within 100 miles of any border are fair game for warrantless searches, and that zone covers most major U.S. cities. One right applies to all of you: you can opt out of facial recognition and ask for manual ID checks instead. When in doubt, call your attorney first.
