Our office is mourning the loss of our beloved and respected leader. John Slattery fought valiantly to return to Springhill, the community, and McConnell & Slattery, APLC. He will be greatly missed, especially at our law office. He was an ethical, hardworking, honorable, and knowledgable attorney and role model for our firm. His legal principles, knowledge, and integrity have been instilled in our remaining staff, and our remaining attorneys, his daughter, Marguerite Slattery, and future son-in-law, Jason Wade, will strive to embody his ethical values and ideals moving forward.

Our office will be closed tomorrow for the funeral of our beloved leader. All are welcome to attend. His funeral service will be held at 4pm on Friday, July 10, 2020 at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Benton, Louisiana. The gravesite and masonic burial will be held at 10am on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at the Springhill Cemetery. The funeral on Friday will also be broadcast on St. Jude's youtube channel. We will include the link in the comments on this post.

While devastated by our loss, we look forward to continuing the legacy of John B. Slattery, Jr. and McConnell & Slattery, APLC, in serving the community in their legal matters.

While practicing social distancing, the ladies of McConnell & Slattery decided to participate in National Wear Your PJs to Work Day AND National High Five Day all at once! Here’s to wishing all our clients and friends the best...and remember...safety first, fun second! Hope to see you all very soon!

We have some good news to share!

Mr. Slattery's white cell count is up to 3% which means his stem cells are starting to grow and replicate so new bone marrow cells are being formed!! This is the first sign that things are turning around and getting better!! Thanks again for all the prayers and support. It is definitely being heard. Hallelujah!

Laurie and John have successfully made it into the hospital. They will be isolated for approximately one month inside MD Anderson. He is currently in great spirits. Today, he will receive a rather large chemo dose to allow his body to accept the stem cells on Monday. Please, continue to keep praying for them (and us). We cannot express our appreciation of the outpouring of support just over the last few hours...we will keep you all updated as things progress.
