Summer in Missouri means more of us on the road — and more orange cones than anyone would like. Construction season and travel season hit at the same time, and that combination puts everyone at higher risk.

Earlier this week we shared some of the most common summer driving mistakes. If I could add one thing: slow down the moment you see a work zone, not when you reach it. Lanes shift, traffic stops without warning, and the people working just feet away are counting on every driver to pay attention.
