Don't let the festivities surrounding the Super Bowl get the best of you. If your watch parties and celebrations include alcohol, remember not to drink and drive. Have a designated driver, ask a friend to drive you home, or use a taxi or other transportation service. Other substances besides alcohol can impair drivers. The terms DWI and DUI are often used interchangeably, but in different states, they are defined in different ways. The common denominator is that it will get you into trouble. January 27th is a particularly sad day for our law firm. It was on this day in 2021 that our beloved friend and colleague, Shawna Kipp, passed from this world. As the Senior Paralegal and Firm Administrator, we depended on her for everything. Shawna had a unique way of pulling the team together and always faced every challenge with a smile. Our clients loved her and so, today, we share that bright shining smile that we miss so terribly. Rest in peace, dear friend.

We're thrilled to see that Victory Mission was able to serve meals to more than 1,500 people in need during the holiday season and happy we were one of the sponsors of this effort. Throughout the year, Victory Mission provides a mobile food pantry, emergency shelter, outreach to the homeless on the streets, and residential recovery and workforce development programs. Great things happen when businesses partner with nonprofits serving the community.

This holiday season, Victory Mission + Ministry helped over 100 families with Christmas dinner ingredients and other resources.

Congratulations to all the students receiving degrees from Missouri State University tomorrow.

Our Managing Partner, Joseph S. Passanise, first came to what was then Southwest Missouri State University to play soccer and eventually pursue his study of law after he was introduced to Dee Wampler by Dana Carroll, an MSU Administrator. His love for soccer never ceased and he's an active supporter of local college teams and is on the board of Southwest MO Rush Soccer.
