This is my friend, Sam. Sam and I go way back to summer 2013 when we were both summer orientation leaders at Missouri State University. We reconnected after I moved back to Springfield last summer and he told me about a contract issue he was having and asked if I could help. Admittedly, I told him I didn’t know much about his issue, but would be happy to offer some pro bono services to see if I could help. He walked me through his issue, I did some research, and we came up with a game plan. On Sunday, we had lunch to sign an agreement to resolve his expensive, years-long contract issue once and for all. We got the outcome he wanted, and I officially “won” my first case as a solo attorney.

I’m very privileged to have the education and abilities to meaningfully help out an old friend. I’m proud of the work I did and grateful that Sam trusted me with his case. Here’s to friends and (hopefully) many more victories.
