Attorney Brian Brijbag has spent his career explaining the law to people who never went to law school. Juries, clients, anyone who has opened a letter they didn't understand. This weekend he's doing it again with comic books.
Three panels at Tampa Bay Comic Con, all in Room 120 at 3pm.
Friday: Doctor Doom goes on trial. Real mock trial format, real legal standards, and the room returns the verdict.
Saturday: who actually pays when the Avengers flatten downtown. Property damage, wrongful death, insurance carriers, and whether sovereign immunity covers any of it.
Sunday: what happens the first time you stop a crime in a mask. Self-defense, use of force, citizen's arrest, and the exact point where each one runs out.
That's the whole method. Take something people already argue about, then show them the rules sitting underneath it. Nobody sits still for a lecture on negligence. Everybody has an opinion about who should pay for a wrecked city block.
