The working class was told “work hard and you’ll make it.”
Now people are working longer hours, juggling multiple jobs, and still can’t afford a one-bedroom apartment without roommates.
This isn’t laziness.
This isn’t “bad budgeting.”
This is rent doubling while wages barely moved.
This is investors and corporations turning neighborhoods into profit machines instead of places to live.
This is a system squeezing every dollar out of working people and calling it “the economy.”
People are exhausted because survival got more expensive while stability moved further away.
