Today marks 4 years of a dream I thought would never come true. The decade proceeding this day in 2021 was very rough. While many times giving up was considered. Through financial uncertainty, late nights trying to cram, working with kids, and all of the other struggles in between, I (not without my wonderful husband by my side never allowing me to quit!) Persevered through it all. Today marks 4 years of being a licensed attorney in the state of Washington. Then, mid September 2024 I (again with the encouragement, faith, commitment, and support from my amazing hisband) decided to embark on a new journey and open my own practice, KMS Law PLLC, which officially opened for business on October 1, 2024.
This business is more than a business. It is a legacy for the Sawyer family. My children have been a part of this journey from day one (literally I started at SFCC right as I found out I was pregnant with Kaydence). My pink logo, business cards, paper, and everything else is MY brand. I am building this. I am proud of where these four years have brought me.
Many thanks go out but a special thanks to Jennifer Cathcart for being my mentor all these years! Rob was an amazing boss and supported my decision and was excited for my adventure.
I love our legal community, as frustrating as it can be on the whole, and cannot imagine myself doing anything else. I take pride in my clients, my cases, my work, and my advocacy.
This is just a reminder that you can change your destiny, your path, and that you can make a change in your life. It is not easy, but the reward is so worth it!
