In the state of Washington, a Will that is not signed by the testator (the person who dies leaving a will or "testament") AND two disinterested witnesses is not valid. This is also true of any later changes to a Will—in fact, writing on an otherwise valid Will can render it invalid.
Without an enforceable Will, Washington law will determine what happens to your assets, which may not align with your wishes. If you have questions on whether your Will is valid in the state of Washington, contact the experienced attorneys of Lucent Law.
