One of the things I continue to appreciate about downtown Spartanburg is how much it continues to evolve—not just as a place to visit, but as a place people are truly building their lives around.
Right now, if you spend any time downtown, it’s impossible to miss that it’s in a real period of transition. Cranes are visible in the skyline, construction is active in multiple areas, and you can feel the momentum building block by block.
Between ongoing development around Fifth Third Park, the planned improvements around Morgan Square, and the new city-county building taking shape downtown, the core of Spartanburg is clearly in a visible season of change.

What I like most is that it’s not just about projects and plans—it’s about how all of this is starting to shape how people experience downtown on a daily basis.
Walkable evenings. Local spots filling up. A downtown that still feels connected, even while it’s actively under construction.
And speaking of that…
I’ve been working on something that ties right into this downtown rhythm—“Mellow on Magnolia.”
I’ll share more soon, but it’s going to be a relaxed, intentional gathering built around exactly what makes this part of Spartanburg feel different.
If you know, you know. If you don’t yet—you will.
