SN: Parents hug your children. A long embrace does so much for them socially and emotionally.
One thing my daughter and I used to do together was hug and make up chants. Then the hugs and chants became something we did. When we were happy or just because. When she was “mad” at me. I gave her time to calm then we hugged and sung it out. It makes a difference.

Youth & Family Solutions, LLC is on tour!

In recognition of Supervised Visitation Awareness Month, YFS is taking our message into the community to increase awareness about supervised visitation and the importance of safe, structured opportunities for parents and children to maintain meaningful connections.

This weekend gave me another opportunity to do just that.

I enjoyed connecting with community members, talking about the work of Youth & Family Solutions, LLC, and sharing resources I’ve created to support children and families—including The Visit Journal and Time 4 Mommy, Time 4 Daddy.

For me, this work goes beyond providing a service. It is about helping families navigate difficult seasons with dignity, structure, support, and opportunities for connection.

Throughout August, Youth & Family Solutions, LLC is continuing our Supervised Visitation Awareness Month Tour, and we welcome opportunities to visit family-serving organizations, law firms, community programs, and family-centered events to share information about supervised visitation and the families it serves.

Look what popped up in my Facebook memories.

Talk about perfect timing.

Yesterday, I shared that writing has been a part of my life since I was probably in the fifth grade. I’ve written in journals, notebooks, poems, jingles—you name it.

And today, Facebook reminded me that the pen has been in my hand for a long time.

Before four published books and another one on the way, there was simply me, a pen, some paper, and something to say.

I didn’t know then where all those words would take me. I just knew I loved to write.

Looking at this picture now makes me smile because some things really don’t change.

I’m still writing.
I’m still creating.
And apparently, I’m still holding the pen. 🖊️
