North Carolina to be home of a very large immigration detention center to house NC and SC immigrants already with a long history of mistreatment.

Rivers Correctional Institution closed in 2021. Now its owners are in talks about reopening it to hold immigrants awaiting deportation.

Throwback to a special moment! ☺️

After nearly a year in immigration detention, this young boy’s father reached out to our law firm for assistance. Our team at James A. Jones, P.C. worked on his case, and we were grateful to help and see him released from detention and reunited with his father.

Our team even waited at the airport until 2 AM to welcome him and help ensure a smooth reunion with his family.
