Seems fitting that this year's Southlake Style Magazine Super Agents photo was taken in a laundry room.
Because if I'm being honest, a lot of this business was built between loads of laundry, school pickups, acting rehearsals, doctor appointments, late-night emails, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with raising a family.
I'm incredibly honored to once again be recognized as a Southlake Style Super Agent, but this recognition means even more because it represents something bigger than me.
Real estate has become one of the most powerful industries for women. Today, women make up roughly 65% of Realtors nationwide, and the number of female broker-owners continues to grow. Just a few decades ago, fewer than 21% of brokers were women. Today, women hold the majority of broker licenses across the country.
That matters.
Because many of us didn't build our businesses in corner offices. We built them at kitchen tables, in carpool lines, at sport's fields, and yes... in laundry rooms (not even kidding, we love our zooms with one special jlux agent who has her office in their laundry room🤣)!
When I founded Jlux Homes & Co., I wanted to create a company where talented women could build successful careers while still being present for the people who matter most. A place where motherhood and ambition weren't competing priorities, but could exist together.
So while I'm grateful for the recognition, I'm even more grateful for the clients who trust me, the team that serves alongside me, and the family that inspires me every day.
Now if you'll excuse me, there's probably another load of laundry waiting. 🧺💙
