Today is World Turtle Day! The goal of the day is to spread information about these animals and encourage people to work to protect them.

World Turtle Day reminds me of the story about the tortoise and the hare – slow and steady wins the race. If you are struggling, and things in your life may be going slower than you would like them to go, don’t give up. Persevere, and keep moving towards your goal. However slowly your progress is, one step forward is still progress. And just remember how the tortoise was mocked for his slow pace, but he kept going, slowly but steadily --- and he won the race!
