The Law Office of Dana L. White, PLLC in Southlake, Texas is looking for an experienced Family Law Attorney to join our team.

We are seeking someone who is confident, compassionate, professional, and experienced in handling family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, modifications, and enforcement. The right candidate should be able to manage cases independently, communicate well with clients and staff, and bring both sound judgment and a strong work ethic to the role.

Our firm values excellence, responsiveness, teamwork, and genuine care for the people we serve. We are proud of the work we do and are looking for an attorney who will be a great fit for our team and our clients.

Qualifications:

Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
Prior family law experience required
Strong drafting, litigation, and case management skills
Professional, organized, and client-focused

Marriage-Based Green Card Interviews in 2026: Please read before your USCIS appointment.

I’m sharing this as a public alert because I care about families walking into interviews prepared and not surprised.

Recent reports indicate that some marriage-based green card applicants have been detained by ICE at or right after USCIS interviews.

That may feel shocking, especially for couples doing everything “the right way.” And while most interviews still proceed normally, this is a reminder that interview day is a ‘high-stakes’ appointment.

If you have an upcoming marriage-based green card interview, I strongly recommend a quick “risk check” with an attorney beforehand, especially if you have ANY of the following in your history:

• prior immigration court case or removal order (even old/missed court date)
• prior border encounter (expedited removal / voluntary return / withdrawal)
• entry without inspection or unclear entry history
• any arrests/charges (even dismissed)
• any past immigration filings that could raise questions

Also: have an “interview-day plan” (childcare, access to money, emergency contacts, your attorney’s number written down). Don’t rely on luck, rely on preparation. Always make sure you’re walking in with a plan.
