Dear Hunt County Community,
After much prayer and reflection, I am proud to officially announce my candidacy for Judge of the Hunt County Court at Law No. 1 in the March 2026 Republican Primary Election.
I currently serve as Municipal Judge for the Cities of Greenville and Caddo Mills. Before that, I spent over eight years as a prosecutor for the City of Greenville and later served as City Attorney for both Greenville and Wolfe City. I am also the founder of Abigail Kweller Sullivan, PLLC, a five-star rated law firm focused on probate, real estate, business, estate planning, civil litigation, and criminal defense.
Since 2011, I have dedicated my career to serving the people of Hunt County — helping families, protecting rights, and ensuring that justice is handled with fairness, compassion, and accountability. I believe in safeguarding Hunt County families and maintaining a courtroom that reflects the values that make this community strong: faith, integrity, clarity, and respect.
Public service runs deep in my family. My father, Dr. Howard E. Kweller, was the first physician stationed in Emory, Texas, in 1979 through the U.S. Public Health Service and has faithfully served this region for more than 40 years. My mother, Denise Kweller, is a Licensed Professional Counselor who spent many years as a court-appointed investigator performing home studies for the family courts. Her work introduced me to Hunt County’s legal community at a young age — inspiring me, motivating me, and setting a powerful example of the kind of legal professional I wanted to become.
My husband, Tim Sullivan, is a software engineer with L3Harris Communications, and together we are raising our son here in Greenville, where he attends Greenville Independent School District. Our family is proud to call Hunt County home.
I love this community deeply and believe public service is a calling. It would be an honor to serve the people of Hunt County from the bench of the County Court at Law No. 1.
Thank you all for your support, your encouragement, and your prayers as I begin this new chapter of service.
Abby
