Ty Cobb was playing for the Detroit Tigers in Bennett Park. There were no Lions, no Red Wings, no Pistons.

The only other pro sports team were the Detroit Stars of the National Negro Baseball League. No luxury boxes, no giant screen instant replays. But there were Bernsteins. The Bernstein brothers, Sam and Max, opened their law practice, Bernstein & Bernstein, in 1923 Detroit. Without computers, copiers, or fax machines, they defended Detroiters with reams of carbon paper delivered by US mail or personal courier. While the tools have changed, this level of dedication has stayed the same. Bernstein & Bernstein has built its reputation on its 100 years of dedicated, personal service to the average citizen of the Detroit area. Though our city has changed from generation to generation, the Bernstein & Bernstein dedication has remained a sure constant.
