๐Ÿšจ Student Loan Repayment Options Are Under Attack ๐Ÿšจ

The Senate has passed a bill that would eliminate key repayment options, such as ICR and PAYE, thereby increasing default risks and pushing more families into financial crisis.

At Cartwright Law Firm, PLLC, we assist clients in navigating debt and reclaiming financial stability. This bill would harm not just our clients, but millions of Americans and communities.

We believe in second chances. Affordable repayment options are crucial.

Call your U.S. Representative and urge them to vote against this harmful legislation.

Visit house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative to find your representative.

We must act now to protect affordable repayment options.

Early in-person voting is now closed in Michigan and anyone looking to vote will have to Tuesday in-person at their local precinct. Officials do not recommend sending absentee ballots through the mail, and encourage voters to drop those off at their local drop box to ensure their vote is counted in time.

If you still need to register to vote, you can do so at your county clerkโ€™s office, city or village offices, township offices or public libraries. Youโ€™ll need two forms of ID, and at least one must show your current address. Online voter registration has closed.

What is early voting?

Early voting allows a voter to cast a ballot before Election Day, in an experience similar to voting on Election Day.

The statewide early voting period begins today, Saturday, October 26 and will run through Sunday, November 3. Early voting sites must be open for at least eight hours each day during the early voting period.

Look up your early voting site location and hours at Michigan.gov/Vote.

Who can vote early?

Any registered voter in Michigan has the right to vote early in person at an early voting site for all statewide and federal elections.

How do I vote early?

At an early voting site, voters are issued a ballot and can then insert their ballot directly into a tabulator. Voters can also bring their completed absentee ballots to tabulate at early voting sites.

Find your early voting location, check your voter registration status or look up your local clerk information at Michigan.gov/Vote.
