Moore County Criminal Superior Court is cancelled for Monday, February 2, 2026, because apparently Mother Nature decided to throw a tantrum. SCAM ALERT: Fake Arrest Warrant Letters

Scammers are mailing fake letters claiming you have an arrest warrant due to failure to appear in court. These letters often look official and may use names of real law enforcement agencies or courts.

Important reminders:
-Legitimate warrants are NEVER sent by mail asking for money.
-Scammers may demand payment via wire transfer, prepaid cards, or gift cards--this is a red flag.
-Do NOT call any phone numbers listed on suspicious letters.
-Contact the MCSO or your local law enforcement directly if you are unsure.

Stay vigilant. Warn others. Don't fall for the scare tactics.
