"I completed the Introductory Basic Collaborative training with CCND last year. Although I have been practicing as a clinical psychologist for twenty-seven years, this training marked the beginning of a transformation in my career and practice. In addition to the outstanding content of the course and skills training, the process allowed me to network with extremely skilled and passionate lawyers, clinicians, and financial professionals. Since then, my enhanced skills and the consequent networking opportunities have opened the door to engaging in fulfilling and exciting collaborative divorce work. I highly recommend both the training and the process of collaborative divorce." Thank you Stephen M. Humphrey, Ph.D. for the rave review! Our next Introductory Interdisciplinary Collaborative Practice Training is scheduled, won't you join us? For more info, please go to: https://buff.ly/3Uivm4g

We are thrilled to report a major development with CCND’s effort to enact the Uniform Collaborative Law Act (UCLA) in Connecticut. Last evening, CCND’s UCLA Subcommittee, working with the Connecticut Bar Association’s UCLA Subcommittee, presented to the Family Law Section on the UCLA and Collaborative Divorce. After a presentation by CCND Board Members Deborah Noonan and Susanne Snearly, the Family Law Section voted unanimously to support enactment of the UCLA in Connecticut!

The Family Law Section will work now work together with the ADR Section on passage of both the Uniform Mediation Act and the UCLA.

Obtaining the support of the Connecticut Bar Association to further the practice of Collaborative Law is an accomplishment many years in the making and bodes well for the UCLA ultimately being enacted. Thank you to everyone who helped with this endeavor - it shows that progress can be made when we work together as practitioners to spread the word about Collaborative Law and Mediation.

During last night’s presentation, family law attorneys who were just learning about Collaborative Practice wanted to know how to get trained. Registration is open for CCND's upcoming 40 Hour Basic Divorce Mediation Training and Introductory Interdisciplinary Collaborative Practice Training, for more information please go to https://buff.ly/2Y98Y2q
