When I have a hard day at work, I will try to remember that I've never had a day as bad as President Zelenshy did today.

I've never had to smile, and shake hands with, and try to explain, to a man without a conscience or any moral center, why the world's "beacon of Democracy" should work to stop a genocidal war.
..to a man who has used his power to extort me personally, and to hold hostage needed military aid for my people in exchange for personal political favors. Twice.
..to a man who openly boasts of the great relationship he has with the brutal dictator who is bombing hospitals, churches, and schools in my country, and who sends his soldiers to torture, r**e and kill my people.
..to a man whose reaction to Russia invading my country was "This is genius...You gotta say that's pretty savvy." and “it looked like a great negotiation.”
..to a man who thinks I should "make a deal" with that dictator, as if genocide was just a tough negotiating tactic in a business transaction.
..to a man who has bragged that he can end the war in 1 day, even before he's president... but won't explain how... and won't, if he has that mysterious power, actually end the war. Why wait?
..to a man who refused to meet with me and hear my peace plan until my foreign ministry sent him a flattering message of praise.

To a man that I, and Zelensky, fear will again gain power - thanks to a mob of social-media-addled cultists in thrall to a party that has been co-opted by Russian disinformation. Who's only news is from sources who lie to them and help spread that disinformation.

United States Senator Mike Lee wants Ukraine to surrender to murderers, torturers, and child rapists. That is a horrible thing to wish on your fellow human beings, Senator Lee.

It's just logic... He tweeted "Prolonging this war is not in the interest of the Ukrainian people" AND he voted against additional aid to help Ukraine win.

This logically means he would prefer that Ukraine surrender to Russian occupation. (that is the ONLY other war to shorten the war).

We know what happens under Russian occupation. Torture, r**e, and murder of men, women and children.

Therefore, Mike Lee wants Ukraine to surrender to murderers, torturers, and child rapists.

The findings by the United Nations experts are the latest allegations of war crimes against Russia since its invasion of Ukraine.

In case anyone wonders what I think of NFTs. this quote sums it up nicely:

In all seriousness, this act addresses an important issue. Utah struggled with email accounts when updating their open records act a few years back. We do need to decide what is an official communication from the President.... from other lawmakers too. Communication has changed radically over the last few decades. The law needs to adapt.

In January, National Archives spokesperson Miriam Kleiman told the AP that social media posts would qualify as presidential records, but that statement is as of yet not explicitly spelled out in the law.

The Obergefell case did much ore than simply legalize same-sex marriage. Justice Kennedy had to completely dismantle long-respected barriers to judicial overreach to justify his ruling. We're just beginning to see the consequences.

"Previously, a Supreme Court precedent titled Washington v. Glucksberg held that judges could recognize constitutional rights only if they were “deeply rooted in” American “history and tradition.”

"Justice Kennedy dismissed this standard as unduly constraining judges’ power. This has predictably motivated plaintiffs to demand that judges read inventive new rights into the Constitution. Unless and until the Supreme Court curbs Obergefell’s invitation to create new constitutional rights, self-imposed judicial restraint is the only thing preventing a deluge of new “constitutional rights.” And there are indications that the dam is already starting to crack."
