So she could hold her tears at bay
A wall of stubborn barricade
To keep the pain away
Her barriers were busyness
Distraction and denial
And ignoring and avoiding’s
How she coped for quite a while
But the trouble was, her dam
Left nowhere for her pain to go
So it sat behind her wall
With nothing left to do but grow
The tightening in her chest
Began constricting every breath
And to battle every painful thought
Took every ounce of strength
The lump inside her throat
Got slightly bigger every day
And before too long she found
She couldn’t blink her tears away
So the pressure kept on building
And the dam began to crack
And it soon became impossible
To hold the water back
So she let the dam burst open
And as she felt the water flow
She realised sometimes all we need Is just to let it go"

Tell Me only what You intend to do with those things. Tell Me that She won't grow old in Your eyes, and that You will never get too comfortable. Tell Me that You will not wander, or lead the girl down dead ends. And damn it, tell Me She is safe. Tell Me She is safe in Your hands. That You will not be careless. Twenty-seven years ago today I stopped in the middle of packing up a trailer full of our belongings. I got myself all dressed up. I put on one of my sisters off white dress outfits in hopes to cover the baby belly I had going on ... for the second time. My sister pulled my hair up and put a little makeup on me ... and off I went ...

I walked down to a little gazebo in the woods to marry the man that was my children's father. The world was telling me how wrong I was and how it was a mistake and that I would regret it ... that we would regret it ... Everyone, including our parents.

He was twenty two years older than me. I must have had lost my mind. He drinks. He this and he that and I was just a kid and both of us were stupid.

So they said ...

We got married by my grandmother and we went back to that trailer to continue to pack. Little did anyone know that he ( and now I ) was being evicted by the end of that weekend.

They were all right and all wrong at the same time. He just played his guitar through it all. All the bad and the good. He could make the worst situation better with one of his stories.
The stuff we did without did not matter because we didn't care that we didn't have it.

I learned alot in all the wrongs and rights that happened between us. Our marriage didn't last but the bond between us did.

It took us a while to get to where we were but I am glad to say that outside of being my children's father and my ex husband, he was my friend.
I miss him every day and I wish that he was here so that I could give him a hard time about celebrating our divorce day instead of the day we got married.

They will call You “crazy” because You are, because You were born with the gift of seeing things differently and that scares them.

They are going to call You “too much” because You are, because You were born an empath to so You feel it all things fully and that intimidates them.

They are going to call You “selfish” because that is right. Because You found out that You are the most important thing in Your life and that doesn't suit them.

You are going to be called in many ways, with many judgments, for a long time, but stand firm on Yourself and what You want, and I promise You one day they are going to find You to say, “thank You for existing."

There is always a feeling in her heart that could never mistreat anyone regardless of how many times she has had her fire put out. Not everyone understands her, but She is a moonatic who chooses constellations over humans.

"I had attended few funerals in my life and after the last I swore I would never attend another because that funeral had been My Father's ... I remember not being able to feel my feet and my hands and my face were tingling as well, though my ears burned from the knowledge that everyone seated behind us was trying ... and failing ... not to stare at the remains of our family.
Our pastor took his place at the podium and began to pray asking God to welcome Richard to his heavenly home. I had a different request for the head of the holy trinity. I prayed that the tingling was a sign of being mysteriously unwell and I would join my father in very short order. I begged God to take me to him. The presick him. With a smile free of pain reaching for my hand. Because the only place I would ever want to be again is wherever he was.
My mother said some words. A few other people spoke as well. I don't remember who they were or what they said.
And then the room was empty ... It was time ... All the pictures were displayed and there sat the urn where my daddy's body used to exist. I told myself if I didn't look directly at it none of this would be real. That this terrible experience was happening to someone else ... But I had to ...
Even in death he was the man who had wiped my tears when I needed comforting, and cut my sandwhiches into small squares just as I liked, and told me he would love me forever and ever and still even longer than that ...
He was lovely and as I stood there looking at those pictures I knew that anything that happened next in life could not be as unbearable as this goodbye."

"I don't want to be remembered for a short story about what could have been or a simple quest protesting what love is or is not. i went to be more than a few shallow words that can make You feel something. or nothing at all. 1 want to skip My soul across these skies and arrive where few have had the guts to go. 1 won't to break bread with strangers and lovers and those who never saw themselves as anyone important. This year has already blessed me with a new perspective, a new earthly voice to speak with. It has given my mind the ability to find peace where he left me and where someone else says he loves Me. I am obsessed with strange, with the extraordinary ability of how a heart can love even harder when it is in a pile of its own brokenness."
