Boyd is from Mississippi originally and moved to South Hill and is the current Assistant Superintendent of Brunswick County Public Schools. He is currently the newest Rotarian in the world. The South Hill Rotary Club presented the Golden Rotarian Award to Jimmie Keith Crowder who was named the recipient at the Rotary District 7600 Awards Banquet recently. The nominees have to be long standing Club members with various contributions to the club and the community. Crowder has 35 years of service and is very active in all club activities. He received a certificate and a lantern from the District to light the way for other Rotarians in the club and the world.
