Shelton Auction & Realty has been in business since March of 1954. In September of 1991, Sam Watts purchased the business, Sam is a licensed broker & auctioneer. There are numbers of farms in Halifax County & homes in South Boston and the county that J. Shelton Auction & Realty has sold two & three times over the firm's 57 years in real estate. The staff is never to busy to take time to talk wit
h people and give free advice when asked to do so. The success of the company is a result of dedication to people, both propspective buyers and sellers, serving with honesty and sincerity. The biggest change is that Sam has traded his suit in for casual, every day attire. Because of his love for the land and farms, Sam specializes in land, whether it is 5 acres or 5,000. Sam is very active in promoting Agriculture and preserving farm land. Shelton Auction & Realty conducts estate auctions, land auctions, farm equipment auctions, antique auctions, special commissioner's auctions, school auctions, home auctions, any type of auction. Sam also does alot of volunteer auctions, he volunteers his supplies & time for the Amish Auction which benefits the Amish School, that is an yearly event. Also the FHA Livestock Show & Auction, Wild Turkey Federation Auction, Ducks Unlimited, & NRA, many other benefit auctions as well as personal benefit auctions.
